Deadpool is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. He then said he regretted that statement after watching the first Deadpool film, and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters meet on the big screen. When asked why he decided to return for this film, he simply said, «I just wanted to do it, and I had a gut feeling about it,» adding that he wanted to have the best time possible ever on a movie set alongside Ryan Reynolds. Likewise, Reynolds has wanted to work with Jackman since the first Deadpool film and was sad when he (Jackman) left the role..

It got boring
With all the jokes from previous movies and trailers, this movie came with a nearly empty tank. The plot was just plain stupid and didn’t do much for the Deadpool franchise. Most of the humor followed the same formula. After a while, it felt like a funny comedian telling the same joke over and over again in a different style.

There were some funny scenes, but for the first time in a Deadpool movie, there were many places where I just lost interest and looked at the clock. They probably should have taken the successes of the first two Deadpool movies and left it at that – and I would have been 100% OK with that. It’s not worth the theater ticket, but good enough when it hits digital. The final season of What We Do in the Shadows is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
