Art the Clown is ready to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully go to bed on Christmas Eve. Director Damien Leone said that several major studios expressed interest in financing a film based on the surprise success of Terrifier 2 (2022), even without a full script, but he turned them all down because he was certain they would never let him shoot the first scene in the film, which he says is «very controversial.» Leone noted that the only reason he can be so uncompromising in his depiction of horror and gore is because he independently finances his films, creates all of his own special effects to keep costs down, and doesn’t have a major studio to deal with. Mia mentions that the 5th anniversary of the original massacre is coming up soon, but that it happened on Halloween, and the film taking place on Christmas Day 5 years later would mean the anniversary has only passed 2 months ago.

Now that we have the stage set, Terrifier 3 has gone down in history – not only for its over-the-top, gory murders and shocking stunts, but also because I really enjoyed it.
Good pacing can elevate even the scariest horror film
Bigger budgets don’t usually mean better, but when dedicated and talented filmmakers get involved and hire an editor who knows their craft, it makes a huge difference. Art the Clown is as funny and scary as ever, but Victoria’s crazy performance steals the show – she’s even scarier than Art. Lauren LaVera gives it her all as Sienna and shows her PTSD.
Shockingly, I’m now excited for Terrifier 4
